Quake II re-release is out – with new DLC and a Nintendo 64 version

As rumors promised, an enhanced edition of Quake II was announced at QuakeCon and immediately released. The updated sci-fi shooter can be purchased for $10, and owners of the original will get it for free.

Add-ons and Quake II 64

The re-release contains the original add-ons The Reckoning and Ground Zero, as well as new DLC – Call of the Machine from MachineGames with 28 campaign levels and one map for Deathmatch.

Deep within the Strogg cosmos lies the Mechanism, a singularity capable of shattering the fabric of reality. Break through space and time to find and destroy the creator of the Stroggs, forever changing the fate of men and machines.

The Nintendo 64 version of Quake II is also included.
